The University of Wisconsin-Madison Geology Museum displays rocks, fossils and meteorites in a variety of educational and entertaining displays. Precious and beautiful stones are laid out next to ancient meteorities, and the Black Light Room exhibits a number of rocks that glow brilliantly under ultraviolet lighting. Much of the museum is dedicated to fossils, including the full and partial skeletons of dinosaurs that once roamed the land and those of other creatures that have occupied the area that is now Wisconsin. Located on the university's campus, the school's grounds also hold the Chazen Museum of Art and Camp Randall Stadium.
Open Mon. - Fri. 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; Sat. 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
